Okay it is safe to say this year is already starting to blow by. After our successful Spring Line shoot, I took a much deserved break from my computer and working. We spend post Christmas and New Years in New Orleans which was very pleasant. The weather was moderately warm, especially for NOLA so it was great to walk the streets of the city.
After about the 3rd day of lounging and playing Words With Friends I begun to second guess my choice NOT to bring my computer with me. While I knew I would not have any of the edited content from our trip, I certainly had a lot of OTHER tasks I could have been working on in the meantime.
Every year we try and make some tweaks to the website. All with the idea of making the shopping and browsing experience better for the customer. When having our discussions as to what can be improved upon, one universal request is to make our photos larger. We spend a LOT of time shooting and honing in our photography style, so when we really do not get a chance to show it off, it does become frustrating. In just a few short weeks you will begin to see some of these changes on the site. Specifically with our SEPARATES section. Now, when you come to view a separate you will not only have a product photo, but also a larger photo showing the model with both the top and bottom. (Very similar to how we present our SETS.)
I digress, my point to this detail was not to bore you with work related updates, but to explain why, when I finally DID get back after the new year, I hit the ground sprinting, and I have not turned back once.
Going thru the very extensive list of Separates that we offer on the website in all of our departments is amazing to think just how many styles and colors of bikinis we actually sell! For someone to come to this website and say there is not enough choice, is, to me unthinkable. If you do not find something on TeenyB that you do NOT like, then, well you just don’t like super sexy perfectly tailored luxury Brazilian bikinis! (And to each his own.)
So needless to say, lots of changes to the website coming as we speak…(have you noticed our new interface?)
Now you have the ability to shop by color and bikini category as well as our traditional Departments Section. It is just scratching the surface of all the great additions we will have on our site this year…not to mention the awesome new styles and colors for Spring 2012!!
It is amazing how much time and effort goes into planning the catalog shoots, but how quickly they seem to go by.
It is no doubt that in the middle of it (long days, short nights) it feels like it is never going to end, but all the days seem to just blend together and the next thing you know it’s over.
It is always the few days after the shoots that really get to me. I am so focused on shooting, planning, organizing, etc. that I really have no time for anything else. I do not watch television, read any blogs or internet news stories, so when I try to assimilate myself back into regular life, I am out of the loop….to say the least.
Another interesting thing to note with regards to our photo shoots is the comradery it builds. Shooting on location in the same house makes it feel like a small reality show (for lack of a better description). Really it is like being on set shooting a movie. You are working with each other and being creative. Many times “acting” of sorts, or definitely stepping outside of yourself. And then of course you are eating dinner together, relaxing; basically spending every waking moment together. Over the course of the week, it becomes second nature. Knowing how close we will be working, I go to great lengths to always choose very particular people who we work with. While one bad apple will not necessarily spoil the bunch, it will definitely make a sour pie. But at the end of the week, when the work is done and the bags are once again packed up, one cannot feel a small twinge of sadness that it went by all so fast.
One of my favorite things to do post catalog shoot is go thru all of the behind the scenes photos. This is the stuff I really feel I miss out on, because I am so focused on work. I love going thru it day by day. Seeing the photo shoot in the eyes of someone else. I love seeing the smiles, the silly photos taken, and the memories built.
Thank you too everyone who participated in this years Catalog shoot, both models and staff alike. While it will not be the last, it certainly was a very memorable one.
And for those of you who think there is no possible way you could be a TeenyB model keep this in mind.
This year we had 2 BRAND NEW MODELS who have little to NO experience in front of the camera. Yep, we do not discriminate because you have no experience, we can spot potential from a mile away. So if you have always wanted to be a model, send in a photo, or submit a few you have taken to our Contributors section… you never know where it might lead you!!!
Emily (below) is one of our 2 beauties. Hard to believe she is a newbie huh?? Looking forward to shooting her again very soon.
To take the time and list everything I am Thankful for may take too long, but most importantly, my family.
Without their love and support TeenyB would not be here today.
While my Summer trip is winding down..who am I kidding I fly back home tomorrow, I cannot help but already miss it. It seems to have gone by entirely WAY too fast.
I can really see how people can get used to perpetually traveling. It is so exciting to be in new places and discovering new adventures. I do not mean to say I want to be moving every 2 days to a new place, I like spending 2 weeks – 2 months in the same place. Getting a feel for how people live their lives, what restaurants to find, parks, hikes and anything interesting about the city and locals.
But alas, coming home is always sweet. I get to visit my family, see my dog, and walk on my local beach – which of course I adore! We will not be home for too long, I have some very fun work to attend to!!!
A quick trip to Vegas at the end of the month is a big one for me. A sourcing event where I can search for new vendors to help fulfill visions of bikinis, coverups and so much more!
Not looking forward to the flight – coming home from this trip I NOW have a walking toddler. It really is a treat to see how much ALL of us have grown!
Well we will be leaving Tahoe in a few short days. I cannot believe that 2 weeks has gone by so quickly.
I must admit, it is tough to be on the road, I just seem to lose track of time. It is not that I am homesick, (Of course I miss my husband and dog) but it really is a matter of it going by too quickly! I turn around, and 2 days have gone by and I have not once checked up on work. I can see how easy it is to get lost in relaxation.
But I was very pleased to check out the Ditch the Diaper page recently. It makes me feel good to read the messages and submissions that women have made on both ends: Those who have already become a TeenyB Girl, and those who WANT to become one.
Upon reflection of the event we thru at Caddy’s, it really was a great success on so many levels.
The first of course being, getting girls in our bikinis! The more girls who wear our suits, the more our suits can be seen by other potential TeenyB wearers.
The second success is I think we got a chance to show SO MANY different people (with EVERY type of body style) that you too can wear a TeenyB. Just because you think MODELS look great in our bikinis, it is tough to convince girls, that these bikinis are really made for the everyday person! People with curves and muscles, and boobs and butts! Skinny girls (no offense) are going to look great in most everything. It is a testament when you can fit DIFFERENT body styles into the same bikinis and it really looks great on them too!
After spending some time reviewing the photos, I am motivated to design more! I already have 2 new sexy top designs in my head and when I get back into town, we are going to make them!!
In the meantime, keep enjoying the sunshine and stay active.

I have been on the road the past week visiting with my family and friends.
It is always nice to get out of town for a while (especially the heat in Florida.)) I had the pleasure of starting our trip out at Dana Point in California. We spent one afternoon down at the beach, it was beautiful. I couldn’t help but check out the locals and what types of bikinis they were wearing. Still lots of room for TeenyB to make their mark!
We did not stay in Southern California for long. The next day we worked our way up north and have settled at Lake Tahoe to spend 2 weeks. It is a very special 4th of July this year because the Winter has lasted so long there is still snow on the mountain tops!!
Maria and I knew we had to come up to the top of Squaw so we could take a photo in our bikinis with the snow!!!
Naturally we are wearing bikinis from the new Independence Line
They were even letting people go skiing this weekend…but since we are not Advanced skiers, we decided we would stick with making snow angels instead! BRRRRR.
Well that sure went by fast! A belated Happy Father’s Day to all the Dad’s out there…especially to my hubby!
This weekend we did our Ditch the Diaper event and it was a total success. We are working now on trying to sort the before and after photos and match up the names, it’s similar to the Memory game. It’s been really fun to see them (the before and after photos) side by side… I think you are really going to enjoy looking at them once they are up on the website.
This weekend was successful for a lot of reasons, but mainly that I think we got an opportunity to show the brand to people that might have never thought they could wear a TeenyB!
You could see that a lot of women were nervous about putting on a bikini that “seemed so small” at first, but once they tried it on and had a chance to look at themselves, they realized it really made them look better. I see women of all sizes, body types, and ages and they all have the same initial worries about putting the suit on! It doesn’t matter if they are super skinny, have tattoos or terrible tan lines (in fact, a LOT of exposed tan lines for sure!!) If you have never worn a TeenyB before, of COURSE it is going to FEEL like it is super small, but the reality is…they are conditioned to be wearing TOO BIG of bikini’s….hence, Ditch the Diaper!
I feel like those women who participated in the event, will hopefully continue to wear the bikini around other friends who were not there, and it can spread!! I can tell you one thing is for certain, but the end of the day – you could see TeenyB had made it’s mark on the beach at Caddy’s and there were a lot of smiling faces around!!!
I want to extend a very special thank you to all of the staff at TeenyB who made this event possible. It went very smoothly and we all worked together, making adjustments as we needed. It is really refreshing to work with a group of people that are all on the same team and working towards the same goal. It truly will allow us to make anything we set our minds to possible!

As the weekend is now upon us, this is not just ANY weekend. It is Memorial Day weekend. It also signifies to many the start of the Summer. I would like to take a moment and thank all the men and women whose families are a part of our military and make sacrifices in every way to keep our way of life safe and protected. Without them, we would not be able to celebrate the way we do.
My brother just recently joined the Air Force and this will be his first year. I am very proud of him for many things he has accomplished in his life, but this is especially important. It really takes a selfless and giving person to want to serve on behalf of others, and I cannot be grateful enough.
Thank you for all of the men and women of the past who have given the ultimate sacrifice for us and our Country.
It is safe to say that I keep a lot of “balls in the air” with regards to ideas and work. Now many people might find this to be an ineffective way to complete tasks at hand. Sometimes, it can be. It is easy to switch from one project to the next, not really completing anything if it seems too tough at the time.
I would like to think that while I DO have a lot of tasks, I have a good track record of finishing them out.
The problem is, some projects just can’t be finished right away. I can devote a lot of time, but if it doesn’t feel right, then why force something. Many times, I have a lot of designs floating around in my head. Almost 18 months ago, I was diligently working on 3 different cover-ups. A skirt, and two dresses, all of which have not been completed. I worked on them for many months, and each sample did not have the finishing touches I felt would make them successful.
That was definitely a project I put on the back burner, but over the past 2 months I have really been thinking about them and how to complete them. With renewed vigor I have picked up at least the skirt with the hopes of having it completed by Memorial Day. Even if only to wear the sample to get peoples opinions. The 2 cover-up dresses are next on my list. Having walked away from them for a substantial amount of time, have really allowed me to come back with a somewhat fresh perspective on what can be changed.
Here’s to hoping that sometime next year, I will be widening our company to include not only panties, but cover-ups too!!
Well it may not be officially Summer yet in Florida, but the bikini weather is officially here.

I was reflecting yesterday, after receiving a very special email from a longtime customer who just received his package from us in the mail. It was an International order, and so there is a bit of a language barrier, but thank goodness for the internet and translation sites.
He was happy with the new styles and colors and very excited to present the new suits to his wife as a gift.
It made my day to read his kind letter, but also to realize that his wife would soon be getting a special present. It is a sweet thought; that a man takes his time to pick out a special gift for a girlfriend or wife. Something that would mean a lot to her, make her feel sexy and special. It makes me very happy to know that our product falls into that category.
We take pride in offering customers individual help for any questions they may have, and many times we are working with men who want to surprise their significant others with a gift. We will go to great lengths to find a bikini cut she would feel comfortable in, a color that would match her skin tone and sizing, so it will fit her perfectly.
The ultimate smile came to my face when I soon realized, that I too, fell into that category; a woman surprised by her husband with a sexy bikini. Long before TeenyB ever started, my wonderful husband gave me a beautiful bikini as a gift. What lucky women we are, to have men that are not afraid of our sexiness and desire to harness it. If it weren’t for him looking for a special gift for me, then perhaps TeenyB – in some way or another, would never exist.
I hope that everyone is having a fantastic holiday season. Merry Christmas to all.
This year, we are spending Christmas down south -in Barbados. It is our first trip to this Country and we are having a great time. I always enjoy visiting new Caribbean islands for two reasons:
#1. I love the sun and the sand (even though I seem to be getting less of it these days with a new kid on board)
#2. It keeps me in touch with new trends and styles of bikinis.
Barbados is really an English-heavy island. Sure some Americans visit, but this is mainly a British vacation destination. I can safely say that this island can seriously use a nice dose of TeenyB.
When packing my bags, I was going for more of our conservative styles (knowing this is an island that trends to the conservative) but I have seen a fair share of tiny bikinis.
The sad thing is they do not necessarily look like they are doing any justice to women’s figures. Our TeenyB slogan is “Less Fabrics, More Looks” but I see now that it is really only half of the battle.
What makes our bikinis so special is not that it is just Less fabric, but it is also CUT PERFECTLY to accentuate your body and a womanly curve! It truly makes me even more excited that we are completely re-shooting and re-launching our new B.Luxe (Micro Bikini Line) this spring- 2011. It is going to BLOW this island away……

And as you probably have noticed, there is a football in this shot. That’s right, this is a football party. The New Orleans Saints are playing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The theme will be football. Girls can choose which team they will root for, by rocking the teams colors, or wear a black and white Referee bikini!!!

Just sitting down reflecting on our last shoot. Finally got a chance to take the boat out to some close islands that have a lot of great things to shoot, especially when you have a model in our bikini standing in front of it.
As always, the shoot was a success. Not only were the girls a pleasure to work with, the weather was in our favor and the fresh air was perfect. The only problem we really had was – NOT ENOUGH TIME. We get set up, scout a few places to shoot and then the next thing you know, the sun is going down and we have to leave.
No worries, now that the weather is starting to really cool off, it just gives me an excuse to get out and do some more shooting. And that is exactly what I plan on doing. Once we get back into town, we are out on the boat again so I can hit a few more of those spots we had scouted.
While I am no where near finishing the edits on this last batch, we do have a nice behind the scenes shot.
This photo means so much more than just a few girls standing in front of me. We actually used a series of this shoot to promote a PARTY we will be having mid October!!!
It has been a really long time since we have had a party, so we are excited to get a lot of the new models we have been working with together and interacting. That and of course we will have some BIKINIS to give away! It is always one of our favorite things to do, especially since we have a few new styles to introduce.
If you ever read this blog, you already know how much I love football. So it comes as no surprise that I am super excited that the season is now upon us. FINALLY something good to watch on television.
This year is even more special because we are entering the season (I am a New Orleans SAINTS fan) as reigning Champions! I have high hopes for this year, no reason why we cannot pick up right where we left off!
The same applies for TeenyB actually. Just because we are ending the Swimming season for many, does not mean that we cannot continue to build on all of the progress we have made throughout the year.
In fact, this year has been our best yet, and I have every reason to believe that NEXT will be even better!!
We are excited to be introducing NEW PRODUCTS next year including 3 bikini tops. We will also relaunch our MICRO BIKINI LINE incorporating a few more bottoms to match our sexy Triangle Tops. And of course we will continue to expand our ever popular BRAZILIAN BIKINIS!!
There is much to celebrate with TeenyB and last week, we did just that!
You are only as good as the people you surround yourself with in life and our growth at TeenyB is also a direct reflection of the people who are a part of this company. What better way to celebrate our successes than with a few bottles of champagne and some good home cooking!!!!
Well the end of Summer is coming close and many of you will be starting to put your bikinis away until next year. If you are lucky, you may take a trip in the Fall to an island down South, or go on a cruise where you will enjoy some sunshine-y weather. But while you are soaking up your last few weeks of Summer, we are getting ready to really start working hard.
We have 3 new bikini top styles that we have been working on that we know you’ll love and now we get to go shopping for some special fabrics and trims. We also plan on launching a panty line in the Fall. This way, you can enjoy the comfortable micro bikini styles of TeenyB, but in a luxurious lingere fabric. This one, we have been waiting to launch of a long time, and it was definitely worth the wait!
We are also excited to start ramping up our photo shoots as well. The weather will start to become cooler, making it much easier to spend the day out in the sun and on the water shooting.
We did manage to sneak in a few photo shoots in August, but our very last one got canceled due to rain!

It is always exciting for us to get emails from customers and friends alike telling us of their travels around the world in their TeenyB Bikinis! Most people buy special bikinis for a vacation and they love to show it off. We especially love when they send in photos WITH their stories!
Most recently, a good friend and model of ours Maria, set off on a 6 month journey around Europe. We have no doubt she is having a super time in her travels…but she made our day recently when she sent us a few photos!

This only inspires me to keep working on making that Venice, Italy shoot a reality!! Everything is so photograph-able!!
