As if we weren’t busy enough…

We get approached a lot to participate in different events, but every once in a while, something catches our attention and we KNOW we have to get involved. This Friday, TeenyB will join forces with The Gentlemen’s Society benefiting the Children’s Dream Fund for a fun filled night of fashion extravaganza.

What better way to get a party started then with a bikini fashion show?

Getting ready to head to New Orleans tomorrow. Of course we are looking forward to it, because it is a second home to us.
Eating great food, walking the beautiful city and most importantly Monday Night Football!!

Everyone knows I love football, and the Saints and we are looking forward to stomping the Giants on Monday.

After a short week of fun we will be heading back home and working hard getting ready for our catalog shoot in December.
We have pulled the jewelry and are laying out the newest bikinis as they come in! This year is going to be a very exciting year for TeenyB because we have a lot of new products to introduce.

Just last week we launched our newest bikini bottom – The Rio Pucker!
It is a new take on our very popular Brazilian Pucker line, but with slightly more coverage in key areas.

To describe who’s body type this Rio pucker fits best would be doing a disservice to how many body types can actually wear this.

In the past, I have always thought that more choices are better than few. I am a very decisive person. If I see something I like, I go after it. I do not second guess myself. But I am beginning to realize that people like me, MAY be on a short list.

At TeenyB, selling bikinis exclusively online can be very scary for most people. It is bad enough trying to find bikinis that fit properly (that is until they discover TeenyB) but then just buying it without ever touching it?!? We pride ourselves on our customer service. We are at your call, answering any questions about sizing, styles, even swatches of colors. We have an awesome samples program where you can put a deposit and receive a few sizes in a particular style so you can see which one fits best. And we have an excellent returns and exchanges program…but sometimes that is still not enough.

For the events we have held, I watch girls come in and try on 2 dozen bikinis not sure which one to take. I take it as a compliment because they obviously like the product, but it can be a time consuming thing. I remind myself though…most girls do not get the opportunity to see our entire line right in front of their eyes. They don’t get the opportunity to try on all of our styles, so they are taking advantage! And why not! Some girls may think they can never wear a Butterfly Top, but once they try it on, they fall in love with it.

Something special is happening the weekend after next and if you live in the Tampa FL area you should consider coming! TeenyB is participating as an exhibitor it it’s FIRST EVER bikini fitness competition. We will be live and in person with a booth to show anyone who is willing our styles IN PERSON! We have color swatches, trims and anything that will help you customize your own bikini!

Here in Vegas this week, and very excited about having to work this weekend.

I cannot believe it has been almost 3 years since we have been to this city, (especially since we used to come twice a year!). We have good reason to visit though, the Magic show is here and we have some work to do! Sourcing is a big part of being able to create new designs and ideas, and that is exactly what we are doing. We have a lot of ideas in the works for the coming months and years, and you have to start planning for all of the steps necessary to make them happen.

On our list of items to look for include trims and fabrics! Of course we have a few very specific needs, but we cannot give away ALL of our plans.

Right before we left, we perfected a BRAND NEW bikini bottom, so we are really excited about that. We expect it to launch at the end of Summer. Not that we don’t already love the bottoms we have, but we are expanding to keep fitting more body styles. Everybody’s booty is different, and while the pucker butt bottoms are a fantastic hit, we can always keep perfecting them. This bottom will really appeal to the girls who have a bigger, rounder, plumper booty! Same great fit, but this shape will really accentuate their larger curve!!

More about that later…..we have to get ready for the big show!

NOT!!!!

Just because the sun is not shinning, it certainly hasn’t stopped us from having fun. This is our first time here, and what a great city. Aside from the cloudy skies and sporadic rain showers, we are having a great time. And most importantly, we are happy to have the family all together again! 3 weeks with no Daddy is NOT a good thing.

While there is still lots to explore, we really enjoyed Granville Island Market and visiting the aquarium. They even have Beluga Whales!!!! I am sure it will not be the last time seeing a whale while exploring up here but, I will always remember my first time.

Speaking of first times, I was reflecting with Maria when we were in Lake Tahoe. The very first time I EVER wore a bikini was in Lake Tahoe. We had actually went by the same store where I purchased it. I remember wanting to wear a bikini so bad because all of my sisters were wearing them (they were all older, and had boobs)…as for me, I was still growing them, but it did not stop me. I had (what I would now come to know) as a bandeau top with wiring in the front to create the illusion of a bust! It wasn’t even particularly cute, but I insisted that I was wearing a bikini and NOT a one piece.

Ahhh..memories!

Well we will be leaving Tahoe in a few short days. I cannot believe that 2 weeks has gone by so quickly.

I must admit, it is tough to be on the road, I just seem to lose track of time. It is not that I am homesick, (Of course I miss my husband and dog) but it really is a matter of it going by too quickly! I turn around, and 2 days have gone by and I have not once checked up on work. I can see how easy it is to get lost in relaxation.

But I was very pleased to check out the Ditch the Diaper page recently. It makes me feel good to read the messages and submissions that women have made on both ends: Those who have already become a TeenyB Girl, and those who WANT to become one.

Upon reflection of the event we thru at Caddy’s, it really was a great success on so many levels.
The first of course being, getting girls in our bikinis! The more girls who wear our suits, the more our suits can be seen by other potential TeenyB wearers.
The second success is I think we got a chance to show SO MANY different people (with EVERY type of body style) that you too can wear a TeenyB. Just because you think MODELS look great in our bikinis, it is tough to convince girls, that these bikinis are really made for the everyday person! People with curves and muscles, and boobs and butts! Skinny girls (no offense) are going to look great in most everything. It is a testament when you can fit DIFFERENT body styles into the same bikinis and it really looks great on them too!

After spending some time reviewing the photos, I am motivated to design more! I already have 2 new sexy top designs in my head and when I get back into town, we are going to make them!!

In the meantime, keep enjoying the sunshine and stay active.

Well that sure went by fast! A belated Happy Father’s Day to all the Dad’s out there…especially to my hubby!

This weekend we did our Ditch the Diaper event and it was a total success. We are working now on trying to sort the before and after photos and match up the names, it’s similar to the Memory game. It’s been really fun to see them (the before and after photos) side by side… I think you are really going to enjoy looking at them once they are up on the website.

This weekend was successful for a lot of reasons, but mainly that I think we got an opportunity to show the brand to people that might have never thought they could wear a TeenyB!

You could see that a lot of women were nervous about putting on a bikini that “seemed so small” at first, but once they tried it on and had a chance to look at themselves, they realized it really made them look better. I see women of all sizes, body types, and ages and they all have the same initial worries about putting the suit on! It doesn’t matter if they are super skinny, have tattoos or terrible tan lines (in fact, a LOT of exposed tan lines for sure!!) If you have never worn a TeenyB before, of COURSE it is going to FEEL like it is super small, but the reality is…they are conditioned to be wearing TOO BIG of bikini’s….hence, Ditch the Diaper!

I feel like those women who participated in the event, will hopefully continue to wear the bikini around other friends who were not there, and it can spread!! I can tell you one thing is for certain, but the end of the day – you could see TeenyB had made it’s mark on the beach at Caddy’s and there were a lot of smiling faces around!!!

I want to extend a very special thank you to all of the staff at TeenyB who made this event possible. It went very smoothly and we all worked together, making adjustments as we needed. It is really refreshing to work with a group of people that are all on the same team and working towards the same goal. It truly will allow us to make anything we set our minds to possible!

Just finishing up pulling the last bikinis for this Saturday’s Ditch the Diaper event! It is amazing to realize how many bikini styles and colors we have. Sometimes it can even be overwhelming.

We are really excited about it. We are hoping that by the end of the day, every girl there will be wearing a TeenyB! And chances are, if that is the case, they will ALL have big smiles on their faces because they will be forever transformed!

I may be a little biased, but I have a hard time ever imagining myself wearing anything BUT a TeenyB Bikini!

Everyone has been working really hard at TeenyB these days. We have a lot of great projects in the works, and have been really pushing our boundaries when it comes to creativity and fresh ideas.

When we first created this company, we knew HOW we wanted to site to look and feel, but recognized that it was not going to happen right away. We will always be updating it with fresh styles and prints, sure, but the feel of the photos will grow as our photography does. We must always be evolving our style…it is part of being a luxury brand. WE have to be the creators. If we do not, then it is easy for people to emulate and replicate, which essentially would then make us obsolete.

It is safe to say that I keep a lot of “balls in the air” with regards to ideas and work. Now many people might find this to be an ineffective way to complete tasks at hand. Sometimes, it can be. It is easy to switch from one project to the next, not really completing anything if it seems too tough at the time.

I would like to think that while I DO have a lot of tasks, I have a good track record of finishing them out.

The problem is, some projects just can’t be finished right away. I can devote a lot of time, but if it doesn’t feel right, then why force something. Many times, I have a lot of designs floating around in my head. Almost 18 months ago, I was diligently working on 3 different cover-ups. A skirt, and two dresses, all of which have not been completed. I worked on them for many months, and each sample did not have the finishing touches I felt would make them successful.

That was definitely a project I put on the back burner, but over the past 2 months I have really been thinking about them and how to complete them. With renewed vigor I have picked up at least the skirt with the hopes of having it completed by Memorial Day. Even if only to wear the sample to get peoples opinions. The 2 cover-up dresses are next on my list. Having walked away from them for a substantial amount of time, have really allowed me to come back with a somewhat fresh perspective on what can be changed.

Here’s to hoping that sometime next year, I will be widening our company to include not only panties, but cover-ups too!!

Whatever you’re doing, keep working!

I feel like I am constantly repeating myself when I write. Perhaps it is because I am a creature of habit.

This past week I have had the pleasure, as I have most years, to go to Mardi Gras. If you know me, you know I have many roots in this city even though I am not originally from here. After working hard for the past few months leading up to our Bahamas shoot, it is time for us to relax and play. I cannot tell you how many business people have referenced – “Work Hard – Play Hard”

For me, this is a way of life. I love to work, but it is important to also get a chance to play and decompress. I will spare you the details of our awesome Mardi Gras, but I will say that I am absolutely ready to get back to Florida and start working! There is a lot to be done. We will be launching our new Spring line in just two short weeks. We have completely overhauled our B.Luxe Micro Line, and it is going to rock!

I would like to extend another token of thanks to all of the staff (family) at TeenyB that make things happen. I am anxious to fully go through all of the awesome photos we shot and start getting them up on the site.

While this is not a photo of Mardi Gras – it is a cool photo taken of Myself, Sigmund and Bruce while working hard in the Bahamas.

Well we are finally recovered from the Who Dat Nation/TeenyB Pool Party a few weekends ago. It is easily agreed the party was a huge success.
Not only were we able to get a lot of new fresh faces to the party, but we had some old favorites as well. I envision this number to continue growing the more our company grows.

We were also able to introduce a few new bikini tops at this party. While we only offered one top in each size (in assorted colors) they went quickly. The lucky ones who came early were able to have full choice of all the bikinis offered. And since everyone gets to keep their bikinis, a few lucky girls have the VERY FIRST of these styles ever!!!

We will have plenty of photos to show off the new tops in due time – when we start shooting our Spring 2011 catalog, but until then, you will just have to get your fill at our Facebook Fan Page – TeenyBBikinis

Just sitting down reflecting on our last shoot. Finally got a chance to take the boat out to some close islands that have a lot of great things to shoot, especially when you have a model in our bikini standing in front of it.

As always, the shoot was a success. Not only were the girls a pleasure to work with, the weather was in our favor and the fresh air was perfect. The only problem we really had was – NOT ENOUGH TIME. We get set up, scout a few places to shoot and then the next thing you know, the sun is going down and we have to leave.

No worries, now that the weather is starting to really cool off, it just gives me an excuse to get out and do some more shooting. And that is exactly what I plan on doing. Once we get back into town, we are out on the boat again so I can hit a few more of those spots we had scouted.

While I am no where near finishing the edits on this last batch, we do have a nice behind the scenes shot.

This photo means so much more than just a few girls standing in front of me. We actually used a series of this shoot to promote a PARTY we will be having mid October!!!

It has been a really long time since we have had a party, so we are excited to get a lot of the new models we have been working with together and interacting. That and of course we will have some BIKINIS to give away! It is always one of our favorite things to do, especially since we have a few new styles to introduce.

If you ever read this blog, you already know how much I love football. So it comes as no surprise that I am super excited that the season is now upon us. FINALLY something good to watch on television.
This year is even more special because we are entering the season (I am a New Orleans SAINTS fan) as reigning Champions! I have high hopes for this year, no reason why we cannot pick up right where we left off!

The same applies for TeenyB actually. Just because we are ending the Swimming season for many, does not mean that we cannot continue to build on all of the progress we have made throughout the year.

In fact, this year has been our best yet, and I have every reason to believe that NEXT will be even better!!
We are excited to be introducing NEW PRODUCTS next year including 3 bikini tops. We will also relaunch our MICRO BIKINI LINE incorporating a few more bottoms to match our sexy Triangle Tops. And of course we will continue to expand our ever popular BRAZILIAN BIKINIS!!

There is much to celebrate with TeenyB and last week, we did just that!

You are only as good as the people you surround yourself with in life and our growth at TeenyB is also a direct reflection of the people who are a part of this company. What better way to celebrate our successes than with a few bottles of champagne and some good home cooking!!!!

We all know how the song goes. But we still want Melissa to know just how much we love her!
It is her Birthday week and we couldn’t pass up the chance to celebrate it with her!!

The bottom Melissa is wearing is called a Brazilian Full Pucker. (We also make a Brazilian Half Pucker design as well).

You may be able to see a special bling on the front of Melissa’s suit. Part of our newest designs for Competition Suits are going to include custom Swarovski Crystal Designs! Melissa’s design incorporates our Logo right on the front!!!

To us, it is obvious why Melissa one, and it has nothing to do with the suit she is wearing…BUT it certainly doesn’t hurt either!

We are very excited this week, a lot of great stuff coming together.

We just received some NEW PRINTED bikinis in and are very eager to get them shot and up on the site.
