It’s all relative…
April 29, 2011

As the weather gets warmer, I think all girls go thru a “Oh shit – the time is now!” period where they have to really start getting into bikini shape. I definitely hit this mark in the last few weeks and I have quite a bit of work to do.

Last year, was one of the best years of my life….The Saints won the Superbowl, and I had my first child.

This will be the first year that I get my body back into bikini shape after having a baby, and it is proving to be quite a task. Now, don’t get me wrong, this hasn’t STOPPED me from putting on a bikini, but it doesn’t mean I am 100% feeling back to the way I was before. (On a side note, one of the things that really kept me positive during my pregnancy, and that I hadn’t counted on, is that because our bikinis are cut so low, I was able to wear the bikinis all throughout my pregnancy. Albeit in a different size of course…it was nice to feel sexy still even with my big belly.)

I have to learn to keep things in perspective though. I tried on a Half Pucker Butt bottom, (Not typically my go-to bikini) but I have to start somewhere, and WOW. It might have been the angle I was looking at myself at, but I started doing walking lunges that day.

I was not down on myself…I just knew that I wanted to look better. Then I started to think about it…At least I am lucky enough to have access to such a beautiful line of bikinis that is going to make me look better ANYWAY! I just think about the OLD suits I used to wear…. I can only imagine how awful I would have looked (or felt) if I put on THAT suit.

Again, while I may not be 100% in physical form just yet…I know I still look better in my TeenyB bikini with this body, then I would if I had an awesome figure and someone ELSE’s swimwear. So I guess…it is better than nothing!

My favorite quick get in shape tips for the Summer….

Walking Lunges, Push ups, and Walking or Running…on the beach of course!

Bikini Season is in the air!!!!
April 15, 2011

Well it may not be officially Summer yet in Florida, but the bikini weather is officially here.

Have you already picked out what bikini you will be wearing this season?? Or perhaps you have a few in mind! We have been busy at work this past month getting ready for the bikini rush.

May has always been a great month for us, and this year will be no different. We are proud to be featured in Maxim Magazine this May, be sure to check us out.

While this feature, is not centered around bikini’s themselves, our bikini made the cut! And who could blame them, we do think our bikinis are the hottest on the block.

I am super excited because they actually did a mix match of top and bottom colors. One of our favorite things to do when we are feeling frisky!! Best way to get the most use out of ALL of your bikinis?? Mix and Matching the tops.

Here is a sneak peak at the photo, but be sure to get the whole magazine to get the full effect!

The bikini above is from our B.Luxe Downtown Collection. She is rocking a Bright Pink Classic Triangle Top and Peacock Solid Shortie.

What a man, what a man
April 13, 2011

I was reflecting yesterday, after receiving a very special email from a longtime customer who just received his package from us in the mail. It was an International order, and so there is a bit of a language barrier, but thank goodness for the internet and translation sites. :)

He was happy with the new styles and colors and very excited to present the new suits to his wife as a gift.

It made my day to read his kind letter, but also to realize that his wife would soon be getting a special present. It is a sweet thought; that a man takes his time to pick out a special gift for a girlfriend or wife. Something that would mean a lot to her, make her feel sexy and special. It makes me very happy to know that our product falls into that category.

We take pride in offering customers individual help for any questions they may have, and many times we are working with men who want to surprise their significant others with a gift. We will go to great lengths to find a bikini cut she would feel comfortable in, a color that would match her skin tone and sizing, so it will fit her perfectly.

The ultimate smile came to my face when I soon realized, that I too, fell into that category; a woman surprised by her husband with a sexy bikini. Long before TeenyB ever started, my wonderful husband gave me a beautiful bikini as a gift. What lucky women we are, to have men that are not afraid of our sexiness and desire to harness it. If it weren’t for him looking for a special gift for me, then perhaps TeenyB – in some way or another, would never exist.

Necessity is the mother of invention
April 8, 2011

People always ask me where I get the ideas for our new designs. Honestly, a lot of it is for selfish reasons.
I want a specific type of bikini, or I want to wear something new. You know girls, they can have two dozen pairs of black shoes in their closet, but they will continually go buy more.

I am no different. I wear bikinis a lot! And even though we have a lot to choose from, I still want something fresh.

Our two newest top designs (very similar in style excluding the backs) are because I wanted a top that I would be able to wear while fishing and kayaking. Something that would feel sporty and supportive; something that would let me go out and be active while not having to worry about bouncing around, or falling out. After just having a baby, my boobs have become my, ah-hem, biggest asset. So for naturally endowed women that have a lot up top, and could use the extra support they really will love this top!

The great part is, while having the extra support, they are still cut as minimally as possible to keep you looking sleek and sexy.

I have to laugh at myself, I feel like every time I write on this blog page, it turns into an advertisement. I guess that is the price I pay for being such a fan of this product. I suppose it is better than the alternative!

Practice what you preach, love what you do, have fun working and the rest will fall in place.

What to do on a rainy day???
March 31, 2011

It is always a day where I have to run a bunch of errands that the weather is just so crappy I barely want to step outside. Today is definitely that day.

I don’t mind being cooped up in a house once in a while. I being projects that I have been meaning to start, catch up on emails (and blogs!!) and generally waste a little bit of time. Which is something that I don’t really get a chance to do that often.

So how did I waste my afternoon???? Watching videos of course!!! But not you normal, Hollywood sucky videos…awesome TeenyB ones!

Did you know TeenyB has a YouTube page???

TeenyB Bikinis

We are always updating it, and the most exciting stuff is about to come. (Hello….Bahamas!!!)

Just this week, Dennii is modeling a super gorgeous Kelly Green Oasis Bikini! Keeps me warm on these miserable wet cold days.

Hot huh?? Just the tip of the iceberg. Be sure to sign up to get notified every time we upload a new video.
And if you think you can make a better video, be sure to visit our Contributors Page where you can do just that. Not only can you submit your own bikini videos (MUST BE WEARING A TEENYB of course) but you can also get $150 gift certificate for doing so. How awesome is that?

Now, that is what a call a great way to pass the time!!!

Bikini Blitz & Silver Linings….
March 11, 2011

Traveling back to Florida I browsed the magazine isle for something to read. It is no surprise that when I saw the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, I had to get it.

I knew that our bikinis would not be featured in the magazine, because I would have heard something about it….but that didn’t stop me from looking.

I find it interesting to see what bikinis they choose, where the market is going…. how I feel we stack up. One thing I have noticed about the past 3-4 years of seeing the Swimsuit issue is that they seem to be wearing less and less swimwear all together. I know it is tantalizing to show girls with only a bottom on, and it certainly can sell extra magazines but it makes me wonder, perhaps the bikinis they are choosing are just not that sexy.

Why get a magazine that is supposed to be a “swimsuit issue” and not showcase any swimsuits. Not to mention the dozen or so photos where the girls are simply body painted!!!! Don’t get me wrong, they are hot photos…. I feel in a way the editors at Sports Illustrated realize that having less is more. They are looking for itty bitty bikinis that hug the models curves and totally showcase their bodies… HELLO – that is what TeenyB is all about. Perhaps next year they will realize that they need to be putting their models in more of OUR suits!! That will really make the magazine fly off the shelf!

Another thing I look at while browsing the issue is the photography itself. Being an admirer of an art form that I personally love is always fun for me. I look at the awesome locations they get to shoot at and fantasize about being that big one day. I look at the accessories they use, and angles, lighting, etc. Perhaps I am biased, but I think our photos are just as awesome as theirs.
Mind you, having bombshells like Brooklyn Decker rocking your bikini certainly makes a photo more likable, our models are equally hot – and most importantly everyday people!

One of the things I love about some of our models is that they do not even model full time! THAT is very special!

In any case, Sports Illustrated makes most of their money on this one issue alone and that is an amazing thought.

While we were not featured in the magazine this year, we did get the opportunity to give our swimwear away in the gift bags for all the models that participated for the Sports Illustrated Shoot. Our suits may still be too hot for the printed issue itself, but I hope the models will love wearing our bikinis in their free time!

A broken record…
March 10, 2011

I feel like I am constantly repeating myself when I write. Perhaps it is because I am a creature of habit.

This past week I have had the pleasure, as I have most years, to go to Mardi Gras. If you know me, you know I have many roots in this city even though I am not originally from here. After working hard for the past few months leading up to our Bahamas shoot, it is time for us to relax and play. I cannot tell you how many business people have referenced – “Work Hard – Play Hard”

For me, this is a way of life. I love to work, but it is important to also get a chance to play and decompress. I will spare you the details of our awesome Mardi Gras, but I will say that I am absolutely ready to get back to Florida and start working! There is a lot to be done. We will be launching our new Spring line in just two short weeks. We have completely overhauled our B.Luxe Micro Line, and it is going to rock!

I would like to extend another token of thanks to all of the staff (family) at TeenyB that make things happen. I am anxious to fully go through all of the awesome photos we shot and start getting them up on the site.

While this is not a photo of Mardi Gras – it is a cool photo taken of Myself, Sigmund and Bruce while working hard in the Bahamas.

The Future Looks Bright
March 1, 2011

It always amazes me..for as short of a month that February is, it always seems to be our busiest.

Not in terms of sales…while there are people still buying bikinis for their vacations across the world, I mean behind the scenes. Our Catalog shoots are always something that require a lot of planning, and a lot of attention. This year was no different. But now, as we begin the first day of March we can look back and say – it was definitely all worth it!!!

On location shooting can always provide it’s wrinkles with small problems, hassles of bringing in equipment, models, accessories you name it…but it can also provide you with stunning backdrops that you just cannot get at home. Needless to say – it is a necessary evil to make sure our company continues to grow and succeed.

One of the great things about our catalog shoots is that I get to spend time with the crew and people that I love. It is important to have a job that you love, but to also enjoy the people you work with. It is nothing short of a working vacation…with a emphasis on working!!! But when we look back at it, the hard work doesn’t seem so tough after all, and you are left with the smiles and funny moments that shine throughout the trip.

Speaking of shine….I am most excited about our new products. We have a totally fresh palate of colors this year and it was really a joy to shoot. The models loved them, the photographers found new inspiration with them, and they matched the decor of the locations we shot at. (MORE TO COME ON THAT!!!)

All and all, as I sit down to review the work we have just completed, I will be reminiscing on the experiences and looking forward to the next big trip we take.

Friday’s Here!!!
January 21, 2011

Wow, this week really flew by fast.

We are busy getting ready for our Bahamas trip. (Even though we are still waiting on some of our new suits to come in) We are confident that we will be packed and ready in the few short weeks before we take off.

I always love checking in on our models and friends and see how things are going with them, and to my delight I see that Jaime Baird is working hard. But then again, she always is!! For just a couple years she has been in the Muscle & Fitness world and she is already taking over.

If you want to see a behind the scenes personal look at just how she does it, check out her blog!! Featured on Muscle & Fitness.com

We love Jaime, she not only is the sweetest beautiful woman on the block, but she also works super hard! That kind of dedication is a must if you want to make it in the Fitness world.

And speaking of fitness, have you checked out our TeenyB Fitness Line? See how we can make CUSTOMIZED suits for you!!!
You will be sure to be a winner if you rock a TeenyB on stage! Check out TeenyBFitness.com featuring, who else?? Jaime Baird!!

Its Always Something…First the Internet – Now TELEVISION!!!
January 16, 2011

Just recently we had the opportunity to bring our swimwear collection to television.

Not only was this special because it was our New Spring 2011 line, which hasn’t been seen ANYWHERE, but it was also our first time doing a live television spot. I have to admit, it was a little nerve racking. I certainly do not have a lot of experience in FRONT of the camera, but it is something that I will just have to get used to. Not only will I need to “get used to it” but I must learn to become excited at the thought of it!

Needless to say, the spot went well. My models looked fantastic (we had 4 of them, and they all looked tremendous in the new Spring colors and styles.) We also created quite a stir at the television studio. I never get tired of seeing people excited around the swimwear and models. The television host seemed at first a little nervous about the suits, saying they were quite small, but I could tell she liked them.

To me, when I see people a little nervous, but interested, it means that we have a product that is still fresh and new. Having a product (especially in a market like swimwear) it is very difficult to have something that IS new and makes people excitable. But we have just that.

Unfortunately, because the television spot was on live t.v., I do not have a recording of it yet..but I am working on it.

Let’s just hope it played out as well as I thought, when we go to review it.

A New Year – And New Cover Model Motivations
January 4, 2011

Welcome everyone into the New Year. It is going to be a very exciting one for us and we are charging full steam ahead.

We will be gearing up to our Catalog shoot in the Bahamas and are looking forward to shooting some new girls, as well as some favorites.

One of the new models we are most excited about has another contest running, that we would like to inform you about. This is a great way to get you acquainted with the gorgeous Holly Bricken!!

She not only started out as a Customer of ours, but will soon be one of the featured models on our website.

Stop by the Status Fitness Magazine’s Facebook Fan Page and vote for Holly to be the Cover Model!!

You can see that Holly is already rocking HER TeenyB. She models an Oasis Bikini in Royal Shiny.
Holly is not only gorgeous but she is very sweet too! If she is not motivation to get your butt in bikini gear, then we do not know what WILL motivate you.

Good luck Holly on your contest, we hope you win!

Merry Christmas
December 24, 2010

I hope that everyone is having a fantastic holiday season. Merry Christmas to all.
This year, we are spending Christmas down south -in Barbados. It is our first trip to this Country and we are having a great time. I always enjoy visiting new Caribbean islands for two reasons:

#1. I love the sun and the sand (even though I seem to be getting less of it these days with a new kid on board)
#2. It keeps me in touch with new trends and styles of bikinis.

Barbados is really an English-heavy island. Sure some Americans visit, but this is mainly a British vacation destination. I can safely say that this island can seriously use a nice dose of TeenyB.

When packing my bags, I was going for more of our conservative styles (knowing this is an island that trends to the conservative) but I have seen a fair share of tiny bikinis.

The sad thing is they do not necessarily look like they are doing any justice to women’s figures. Our TeenyB slogan is “Less Fabrics, More Looks” but I see now that it is really only half of the battle.

What makes our bikinis so special is not that it is just Less fabric, but it is also CUT PERFECTLY to accentuate your body and a womanly curve! It truly makes me even more excited that we are completely re-shooting and re-launching our new B.Luxe (Micro Bikini Line) this spring- 2011. It is going to BLOW this island away……

Holidays are here…are you ready?
December 15, 2010

Christmas is just around the corner. You can tell because everything seems to take twice as long to get done. And if you are going to the mall – forget about it!!!!

We are busy as always, finishing up the last test shoots for our Catalog shoot. All of the participants did a fantastic job, considering we have had a major cold spell in the area. It truly shows their professionalism and is definitely taken into account when making our decisions about who comes with us. Thank you to all the models who applied to our casting, and to those who were able to shoot with us!

While we like to have models who show off our bikinis well, and shoot strong, that is not the only thing we look for in a model. We need models who evoke the TeenyB brand and lifestyle. A certain type of girl who is strong, sexy and yet, approachable and easy going. We will not make any final decisions until January, but we can tell that it is going to be a difficult decision…we had a great crop of models this year!

I look forward to reviewing all of the photos and getting started!

In the meantime, enjoy the coming holidays and try to stay warm!

K.I.S.S
October 28, 2010

One of the most exciting times for us is the coming of a new season.
Sure, we continually shop for patterned fabric for our bikinis, but for our solids – we only choose them for the New Spring Collections.

We have finally received the new color cards and have been eagerly checking them out. The hardest part is narrowing our selection down. How does one successfully traverse the waters of picking out just a handful of colors when there are so many to choose from? It is easy to become overwhelmed and second guess yourself, leaving you paralyzed at the decision making process.

One rule I have been taught and now live by is the K.I.S.S method. Keep It Simple Stupid.
I suppose that is why many designers come up with storylines to their newest collections. I think it helps them stay focused and on track. Because at the end of the day it is very easy to become distracted. I tend to be attracted to many different looks and do not have one set style. Many times, (I do admit) each of my styles do not even mesh that well together. I guess you could say my style is pretty eclectic. This extends from my interests in music, to my taste in food. But one has to build up their style over time. If I went out shopping today for a brand new wardrobe, I would not be able to purchase all of the random pieces I am attracted to…nothing would match. I would first have to start with my basics. The pieces that will help me polish and maintain my look. Once I have a good base of those, then I can start to branch out into the more unique items that will really define my style. And just like TeenyB – with each coming Season, we are able to build up our chest of colors, styles and trims.

I find this year to be extremely exciting, not only because we have new styles to introduce but we are also going with a totally new color palate. Something fresh and exciting!

While our deadline is still a few weeks away for final decision…I am always staying focused. You have only just begun to really get a sense of the style of TeenyB!! But there is SO much more to us!!

A Successful Party… What’s Next
October 24, 2010

Well we are finally recovered from the Who Dat Nation/TeenyB Pool Party a few weekends ago. It is easily agreed the party was a huge success.
Not only were we able to get a lot of new fresh faces to the party, but we had some old favorites as well. I envision this number to continue growing the more our company grows.

We were also able to introduce a few new bikini tops at this party. While we only offered one top in each size (in assorted colors) they went quickly. The lucky ones who came early were able to have full choice of all the bikinis offered. And since everyone gets to keep their bikinis, a few lucky girls have the VERY FIRST of these styles ever!!!

We will have plenty of photos to show off the new tops in due time – when we start shooting our Spring 2011 catalog, but until then, you will just have to get your fill at our Facebook Fan Page – TeenyBBikinis

I will leave you with one photo…

The rest you will have to check out on our Facebook Fan Page – and I promise there are a LOT more bikinis in them.

Breast Cancer Awareness Month…Are You Hooked?
October 9, 2010

October is a special month for me for a lot of reasons, but everyone knows that October is the month that we celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness. Being in the bikini business, it is even more important that we take care of our bodies and skin.

Protection and prevention from all forms of cancer has helped save many lives.

TeenyB is proud to announce our sponsorship for a wonderful program called Hooked On Hope.Org It combines Breast Cancer Awareness with a fishing tournament. When we read about it, we thought it was a no-brainer. I LOVE to fish, and combining it with something as important as Breast Cancer Awareness is a perfect combination!
